Happy 2011! :)

 I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season and is ready to get 2011 started!  I am really looking forward to the 2011 season and can't thank all of my 2010 clients enough for putting their trust in me and allowing me to be a part of their special moments this past year.  I am super excited about all of the events I have scheduled to shoot in the coming year and am so thankful that so many people have once again put their trust in me.  This wedding season I will be shooting with a different second shooter because Myra  is expecting her first little bundle of joy in a few weeks (a little girl)!!!  I am so happy for Myra and her husband, Tim, but a little sad that I am out an awesome second shooter.  Fortunately, I have a local Boston photographer, Gabe, from the North Shore who is going to help second shoot weddings with me this season.  I think Gabe and I are going to make a great team!

Ava is now 8 months old.  I can't even believe it... seriously where is the time going?!

 She had her ears pierced for Christmas.  Soooo cute:

 And before we know it, Ava is going to be getting her license and whipping her convertible around ...seriously... she's already practicing (beeping the horn and doing a Hollywood wave).  Stay off the roads!!!

I finally caved and ordered some business cards for those of you who have been encouraging me to do so for months!  I am really happy with how they turned out.  I am so used to business cards being corporate and serious, so it was fun to create a business card that represents me!

I was super excited when Jill contacted me to take some pictures of her and her sister Nicole.  Jill and I both travel quite a bit for work so I was worried about finding a day when we were both going to be in town.  Luckily we were able to pick a Sunday afternoon in November and the fall foliage even decided to stick it out and wait around for our shoot to take place!  We had such a fun day in the Boston Common (I think Nicole worked extra hard during the shoot, climbing trees, light posts, etc. because she got really hungry towards the end of the shoot).  The sun was being a little difficult and it was a bit chilly, but we toughed it out and got some amazing shot!!!

Happy Birthday Catherine!

Catherine is one of my dearest friends and as you'll see from these pictures I don't have ugly friends... so she's a bombshell! Not only is she is a bombshell, she's a successful IP attorney in Boston and someone who has not only been an amazing friend to me but is also someone who has served as a mentor to me for the last 3+ years. She helps make me see reality when I start getting all crazy Liz! :) Even with our ridiculously busy schedules, we somehow manage to make time to catch up and grab dinner every couple of months. Catherine is turning 30 this year and wanted to celebrate that with a shoot. I could go on forever about how awesome she is, but I'll let you see how great she is for yourself! Miss Ava Mae Katherine - 6 Months

I can't believe Ava is already 6 months old!

It's amazing how much personality a 6 month old can have and Ava is certainly coming into her own. She's full of smiles and loves "talking" to her older brother Aiden. I snapped a few photos of my favorite niece during a visit to the Boston Common yesterday. It was Ava's first time as an assistant photographer, she rocked! :) I'm loving this warm weather in November, keep it coming New England and keep smiling Miss Ava.

Grace & Luke

For those of you who have known me for a while and have had the hmm ... pleasure of going out with me in a "social setting" chances are you've heard me introduce myself as "Grace" to some poor, unsuspecting young lad. I know... it's really mature. I haven't done it in a pretty long time, but the name Grace will always remind me of my glory days. Anyways... when my mom's coworker needed some photos done of her daughter Grace and her son Luke, I was pretty excited because what girl named Grace wouldn't be awesome!!! Grace didn't disappoint and Luke was equally as awesome with his big blue eyes! My mom even had me share why I loved the name Grace so much with Grace and Luke's parents, good to know I make you so proud Mom. xoxo

Pawel is the younger brother of one of my best friends from college (our glory years), so I've known Pawel for almost 8 years now, time sure does fly... Peewee is getting married now, sorry Pawel - I had too!!! :) I am beyond excited to be a part of such an exciting time in Pawel and Megan's life and am soooo excited that they have chosen me to photograph their wedding. We took their engagement photos a couple weeks ago at Whitman Park, although the weather almost didn't coorporate with us... raindrops literally appeared on my windshield as I drove away from the shoot, we were able to get some great shoots. It was beyond apparent throughout the entire shoot (and in all the photos) how in love these two were.

Elsie turns One! :)

Elsie's Mom, Amanda, and I grew up together in Acushnet, so when she asked if I would take Elsie's 1 year old pictures I was really excited. It gave me an excuse to spend some time in my hometown Acushnet, which I love, and I got to meet this little blue eyed beauty ...

We started our day at the The Silverbrook Farm, where they had some great stone walls and brick to work with:

After calling a chicken a turkey at Silverbrook Farm, we decided it was time to head to our next stop and go Apple Picking at Keith's, which Elsie loved! She loved eating the apples with her six teeth (I think that's how many teeth Amanda said she has in now)!!!

Elsie officially turns ONE this weekend, so I'm waiting to post her "party dress" pictures... but they are just as adorable as the pictures at the orchards. Thank you Amanda and Taylor for letting me share such a special day with your family. I hope you enjoy the pictures and I hope when Elsie is older, she'll love seeing how much personality she had when she was just shy of her first birthday! :)
